To show appreciation for the love and support he receives from fans, ATEEZ's captain Hongjoong has made birthday donations an annual tradition, and this year is no exception.

On his birthday, November 7, Hongjoong is participating in the "2024 Global 6K for Water Running" virtual campaign with ATINY (ATEEZ's fandom) and organizing a donation drive. 

The "2024 Global 6K for Water Running," is a major donation run held by World Vision that raises awareness of the difficulties faced by children who walk 6 kilometers daily for water. The campaign promotes attention to water sanitation issues and supports clean water donations.

Hongjoong expressed, “When I do anything with ATINY, the memories and emotions stay with me longer and more deeply. So, I thought it would be great to join a meaningful campaign like this together.” In support of Hongjoong’s vision, numerous ATINYs and ATEEZ members Seonghwa and Yunho have also joined the initiative.

In 2022, Hongjoong held his first solo photo exhibition, "From November 7, 1998," to support children aspiring to pursue music despite challenging circumstances. In 2023, he donated proceeds from his "WALKER A" photo exhibition, adding his own funds, to the Korea Leukemia Children’s Foundation.

Beyond birthdays, Hongjoong has consistently spread positive influence. In March, he contributed to a global water project, and in May, he donated in honor of Children’s Day to support youth caregivers in Korea. With cumulative donations exceeding 100 million KRW, he was inducted into the "Bob Pierce Honor Club," a high-value donor group.

To give back to his fans, Hongjoong will hold a live birthday broadcast on ATEEZ's official YouTube channel tonight at 9 PM, where he’ll connect with ATINY and create cherished memories.

Meanwhile, ATEEZ is set to release their 11th mini-album, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2, on November 15.
