(G)I-DLE has broke their personal pre-order album sales record once again!  

On January 24, Cube Entertainment announced that (G)I-DLE's upcoming second full length album "2" has recorded 1.8 million copies of pre-order sales. This surpassed their previous personal record of 1.1 million set by their last mini album "I Trust" in May last year, and set a positive signal for achieving million-status for the second time after "I feel". 

The new record also made (G)I-DLE the K-pop girl group with the second highest album pre-order sales alongside aespa, whose third mini album "MY WORLD" also achieved 1.8 million of pre-order sales. With five days left until (G)I-DLE's comeback, the pre-order sales number is likely to continue to increase.

The highest pre-order quantity for a K-pop girl group is held by BLACKPINK, who recorded 2 million pre-orders for their second full-length album "Born Pink" in September 2022.

"2" will be (G)I-DLE first album in 5 months since the release of "I feel", and their second full-length album following "I NEVER DIE", which was released in March 2022. The impressive pre-order sales record make anticipation among fans run even higher for this long-awaited full-length album. 

(G)I-DLE has been making waves in the US music scene in recent years. "I feel" achieved 41st on the "Billboard 200" main album chart, and their first US EP "HEAT", which was released in October last year, entered the same chart at 25th place, setting the highest ranking of the group on the chart. The group is also nominated in the "Duo/Group of the Year" category in the "2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards", which will be held on April 1, proving their immense popularity in the US.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE has dropped two teasers for the upcoming title track "Super Lady". The teasers show all the members dressed in black and dancing with a big crowd of back-up dancers, demonstrating (G)I-DLE's powerful girl crush image. The full album will be officially released on January 29 at 6 PM KST.
