The wait is over -- girl crush queens ITZY will be back with a new album today!

6 months after the release of their 7th mini album "KILL MY DOUBT", ITZY will be dropping their second full-length album "BORN TO BE" today (January 8) at 6PM KST. MIDZY are particularly excited for this comeback as this is going to be the group's first studio album in more than two years since the release of "Crazy in Love". 

"BORN TO BE" contains a total of 10 tracks which not only demonstrates ITZY's core concept of "respecting and loving oneself", but also conveys a bold message of "moving forward as desired in the vast world unfolding in front of your eyes", encouraging listeners to express themselves freely and be brave to overcome their own limits. 

ITZY has previously dropped music videos of 6 of the b-side tracks in the new album, including 4 solo songs from each members as well as "BORN TO BE" and "Mr. Vampire". The two songs have secured top spots on YouTube's worldwide trending list after their release. Despite Lia's absence due to health reasons, her solo track "Blossom" was also included in the album. 

 

 

Apart from featuring solo tracks of each member, the members have also directly participated in composing and making the lyrics for their solo songs, which is the first time for them to do so since their debut, showcasing ITZY members' individual colors and their growth in musical talents.

Another highlight of this album is that the title track "UNTOUCHABLE" is choreographed by world-renowned choreographer Kiel Tutin and Song Hee-soo, a member of the winning team "Turns" from the 2022 Mnet dance survival show "Street Dance Girls Fighter". This raised high expectations among fans on how the choreography would elevate the powerful image of ITZY. Get a preview of the point choreography of the track in the teaser below!

To share the joy of this long-awaited comeback with MIDZY globally, ITZY will hold a countdown live simultaneously on JYP's official YouTube channel and the music platform Melon at 5PM KST. They will then share their comeback story through Melon's exclusive live show "Melon Spotlight LIVE" at 7PM KST.

 

 

 

After promoting the new album, ITZY will hold a two-day concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on February 24-25 to kick off their second world tour, "BORN TO BE". Details of the world tour are yet to be announced, but it is confirmed that Lia will sit out of the tour schedule to focus on recovery.
