i-dle And Their New Start

The group debuted by CUBE Entertainment, (G)I-DLE has embarked on a transformative chapter in their career, marking by a re-brand of their name and the release of their 8th mini album. This evolution not only showcases their artistic growth but also solidifies their position in the global K-pop landscape.

New Identity: (G)I-DLE to i-dle


On May 2, 2025, the group announced through their official channels the re-brand of their group as i-dle, coinciding with their seventh anniversary since debut. This change reflects the group’s ongoing evolution and desire to show a more mature image. This re-branding was accompanied by the release of their 8th mini album “We are” announced to be release on May 19, 2025.

 

Global Reception and Chart Performance


I SWAY” achieved remarkable success both domestically and overseas. Upon the release, their album topped ITunes Top Album charts in about 18 countries, including Japan, Thailand, Brazil and more. They also secured their spot on the Worldwide and European iTunes Album chart. In South Korea all tracks entered the Melon HOT100 chart, with “Klaxon” peaking at number three.

Promotions and Fan Engagement


In their last promotion the group held a live event streamed on YouTube and Weverse, offering fans an insight into the album’s creation. They also preformed on various tv music shows such as Mnet’s M Countdown, KBS’s Music Bank and MBC’s Show! Music Core.
Fans are excited to have them back and waiting for their promotions probably starting by the end of May. So, far, the group has been releasing announcements of fan sign and fan call events to connect with their fans in a more private way.

 

World Tour and The Performance in Japan

i-dle embarked on third world tour, starting in Seoul on August 3rd and 4th, 2024 followed by shows all over Asia and North America, allowing them to connect with their international fans.
They also performed at Tokyo Dome at the famous event The Performance held on March 29th, having various artist from Korea and Japan in one stage.

The Future of i-dle

 
With their re-branding and the success of their last album, the group continues to demonstrate their commitment to artist growth and global outreach.
The upcoming album “We are” is anticipate to show their evolution as a group and soloist, also their participation in the songwriting of their tracks and the production mainly by Soyeon. i-dle is definitely entering in a new era and redefining their identity.
