Stray Kids will mark their 7th anniversary on March 25th. Their grand steps, which have captivated the global music market with their own music, will continue with the digital single "Mixtape: Dominate," set to be released at 1 p.m. on March 21st.

This is the first album released by Stray Kids this year. Stray Kids aims for another achievement in the global market, while delivering meaningful anniversary gifts to fans by choosing Friday as the release date just before their debut anniversary.

Reflecting on their journey over the past seven years, a pop culture critic, mentioned, "Stray Kids has grown into a K-pop boy group that combines K-pop's unique dynamic style with details and the sense of an autonomous idol, rather than planned type.

◇The path of a global top artist led by an innovative group

As of 2025, Stray Kids' global status is undoubtedly "top class." They ranked No. 1 on Billboard's main album chart "The Billboard 200" with their "Oddinary" in 2022, followed by "Maxident," "Five Star," "Rock Star," and "Ate," and "Hop," the hip-tape of Stray Kids released in December last year. Having various hits ranked on the chart with every single album has set a record and this marks a hug achievement for the music industry in the 69-year history of the Billboard chart, proving Stray Kids' powerful presence.

They are also the only K-pop boy group to be listed on the Billboard main single chart "Hot 100." Stray Kids has ranked on the "Hot 100" three times, placing "Chk Chk Boom," and the title song "Rock Star", "Loose My Breath," the English single, at 49th place. Additionally, they are on the stage as headliners at various global music festivals such as Lollapalooza and are touring stadiums worldwide almost every year. 

As they sought something differentiated from other boy groups, Stray Kids experienced a time of worry and wandering. The meaning of the group’s name itself is 'children wandering'. However, Stray Kids was unique. The path they have forged through this wandering has become a milestone for their next steps and the very identity of the team. Every single aspect of their backbone, spirit, and spirituality demonstrated through self-production encapsulates Stray Kids current essence.

The lyrics written by the members themselves also serve to enhance Stray Kids' music. Their songs express sincere feelings such as worries, wandering, recognition, and self-esteem that the members have conveyed since their debut, evolving into the team's growth narrative. Based on a standard of calmly pursuing the goals they have set without being swayed by any external stimuli, their self-confidence, rooted in the results of their step-by-step progress, has also become their unique musical color.

‘Dominate’: Taking Bigger Steps

Stray Kids' "Mixtape" project marks the moment when they showcase concerns and efforts every turn. Apart from the official album release, a single-type song titled "Mixtape: Dominate," has been launched, the fifth of its kind after "Mixtape: Gone Days" in December 2019, "Mixtape: 바보라도 알아" in March 2020, "Mixtape: Ae" in June 2021, and "Mixtape: Time Out" in August 2022.

Regarding the single title "Dominate," JYP Entertainment, their agency, explained, "It is a digital single that announces the Korean version of 'Giant' and new unit songs to be performed on the 'Dominate' tour, which will resume at the end of this month to celebrate the 7th anniversary of their debut, hence it shares the same name as the world tour title."

The album contains a total of five songs, including the Korean version of the title track "Giant," which was featured in their second Japanese studio album in November last year, as well as songs performed by eight members as a unit paired in groups of two. As with all the songs released so far, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Chang Bin, Han), a production unit within the team, produced the tracks, while other members contributed to writing and composing each unit song, showcasing the true value of the self-producing group.
