BABYMONSTER Makes a Powerful Dome Debut in Japan, Welcoming 90,000 Fans in Osaka

BABYMONSTER has reached another major milestone in its rapidly expanding global career, successfully completing its first performances at Japan’s Kyocera Dome Osaka and attracting an impressive 90,000 fans across two nights.

The K-pop girl group took over the massive Osaka venue on September 22 and 23 for the special Japan edition of its 2026–27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM]. The concerts marked the group’s first appearance at Kyocera Dome Osaka, demonstrating just how quickly BABYMONSTER has built a strong following in the Japanese market.

The Osaka shows also served as a major highlight of the group’s wider Japanese tour. Beginning in Kobe in July, the tour traveled through six cities for a total of 11 performances, bringing approximately 200,000 concertgoers together across Japan.

During the dome concerts, BABYMONSTER delivered a high-energy set featuring fan favorites such as “WE GO UP,” “SHEESH,” and “DRIP,” alongside music from the group’s third mini-album, CHOOM. The members also presented “Ghost,” their first original Japanese song, while individual solo stages gave each performer an opportunity to showcase her own musical personality.

Rather than relying solely on elaborate visuals, the group emphasized live performance throughout the show. A full live band supported the members as they performed with handheld microphones, adding an energetic concert atmosphere to the large-scale production.

The enormous dome setting was matched by equally ambitious staging. Video sequences, lasers, pyrotechnics, fog effects and expansive stage installations transformed the venue into an immersive live experience. BABYMONSTER also interacted with the audience in Japanese without an interpreter, creating a more direct connection with local fans.

The Osaka achievement reflects the group’s remarkable growth in Japan over a relatively short period. BABYMONSTER attracted around 46,000 attendees during its first Japanese fan meeting events in 2024, followed by approximately 250,000 fans in 2025. With another 200,000 attendees recorded during this year’s tour, the group’s cumulative live audience in Japan is approaching the half-million mark.

Reaching a major Japanese dome venue only a little over two years after debut is another significant step in BABYMONSTER’s international expansion. The group’s activities are no longer limited to building recognition as a new K-pop act; large-scale touring has increasingly become an important part of its global presence.

And the tour is not finished yet. BABYMONSTER is scheduled to continue its world tour with an additional Hong Kong performance in January, extending a tour that covers five continents, 18 cities and 30 shows.

With sold-out dome performances, a growing Japanese fanbase and an expanding international touring schedule, BABYMONSTER continues to strengthen its position as one of the notable young acts in the current generation of K-pop.
