The multi-talented singer, rapper and songwriter Jennie has debuted as number one on Billboard charts as a soloist. She debuted in BLACKPINK and embarked on her solo career since 2018 with her groundbreaking debut “SOLO” then she continued activities with the group and then decided to achieve more as a soloist with her first studio album “Ruby”

After her debut with her single “SOLO” she ranked number one on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart and stayed in the top ten for 13 straight weeks while charting on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales and making her the first Korean female solo artist to reach such ranking on international charts.

Later on, 2023, she returned with “You & Me” and debuted on the Billboard Global Exclusive U.S Chart and also reached the top 10 on the GLOBAL 200 and Circle Digital Chart in Korea. She became the first female K-pop soloist to top UK’s Downloads and Sales charts with this song.

She featured with renowned artist like The Weekend and Lily-Rose Deep on the track “One of the Girls”, the song peaked at #51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent over 20 weeks on the chart, again making Jennie the first Korean female soloist to become platinum certified in the U.S and charted in UK.

Then Jennie returned with “Mantra” the song reached number 37 on the UK Official Singles Chart and she ranked as the highest among female K-pop soloist to date. Also, became popular on Chinese major streaming platforms and her music video ranked number one.

In March 2025, she made history by charting three songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100, “Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)”, “like JENNIE” and “ExtraL (feat. Doechii), this made her the first female K-pop artist to have multi-entry week and brought her as a total of six entries on the Hot 100.

She became the first female K-pop solo artist to spend 100 weeks on the chart, thanks to long-running singles.

Jennie has sold over one million copies worldwide in her first week, was top-ten in over 19 countries and became the highest charting album by a female K-pop soloist.
