SEVENTEEN has broken another album pre-order sales record!

On October 23, Pledis Entertainment announced that SEVENTEEN's new 11th mini album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" has sold more than 5.2 million copies in pre-orders, setting a new record for biggest pre-order sales in K-pop history. 

According to Pledis, the album title "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" adapts the English expression "seventh heaven", which refers to the state of extreme happiness. The album consists of eight tracks including the title song "God of Music". The song is a cheerful soul funk track with upbeat synthesizers and brass sounds, which encompasses the energy of happiness that SEVENTEEN depicts. Same as the group's previous releases, Woozi continued to serve as the producer for this album, while five other members including leader S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon have participated in composing and writing lyrics for the album's tracks.

The members expressed their thoughts on "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" in a promotional footage released by the agency previously. Dino stated that SEVENTEEN have always tried to reach higher and boarder with the believe that they will be the best, and this idea fueled the birth of the new album. He also promised that SEVENTEEN will do their best to sing and dance "until the day when it achieves grand national unity as the God of Music". 

The new album is SEVENTEEN's second Korean release this year following their previous mini album "FML", which recorded a pre-order number of 4.67 million copies. "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" had already surpassed this number in October 12, testifying the group's continuously growing popularity globally. 

SEVENTEEN has officially kicked off their album promotion with a comeback talk show on October 23 at 5PM KST, an hour before the album release. However, S.Coups will not be joining the group for the upcoming album promotion schedule in order to prioritize his recovery from knee injury.
