KPOPWORLD Festival Set to Bring Global K-Pop Culture to San Antonio in 2026

San Antonio is preparing to welcome one of the biggest K-pop-focused events ever held in the city. The KPOPWORLD Festival & Worldwide Dance Competition is scheduled for October 28 through October 31, 2026, at the Alamodome, bringing together international dance crews, K-pop artists, merchandise vendors and fans from around the world.

The four-day event is expected to offer a combination of live entertainment and fan experiences rather than functioning simply as a traditional concert. The first two days will focus on the KPOPWORLD Dance Championship, while the final two days will feature concerts by a lineup of Korean and international artists.

Among the artists announced for the festival are Jay Park, The Rose, DEAN & Tabber, Xdinary Heroes, CRAVITY, WONHO, DAYOUNG, SB19, Jessi, ARTMS and HEYOON. The performers represent a wide range of musical styles, from established K-pop acts to artists with strong followings in international markets.

Jay Park is scheduled to headline the Saturday concert, while Friday's program is set to feature artists including The Rose, DEAN & Tabber, Xdinary Heroes, CRAVITY, WONHO and DAYOUNG. Saturday's lineup is expected to include Jay Park, SB19, Jessi, ARTMS and HEYOON.

One of the most distinctive elements of KPOPWORLD will be its international dance competition. Thirty-two dance teams representing 29 countries are expected to compete for the championship title. The competition will give K-pop dance communities from different parts of the world an opportunity to perform in front of a large audience and compete at an international level.

The festival will also extend beyond music and dance. An international vendor village is planned as part of the event, giving visitors opportunities to discover K-pop merchandise, collectibles, Korean products and other items connected to contemporary Korean popular culture. Fan activities and photo opportunities are also expected to be part of the overall festival experience.

The growing popularity of K-pop in the United States has created a market that goes far beyond music. Fans increasingly participate in dance communities, collect albums and photocards, purchase artist merchandise, attend fan events and travel to concerts and festivals. Events such as KPOPWORLD reflect this broader ecosystem and demonstrate how Korean pop culture continues to develop in cities outside the traditional entertainment centers of the United States.

San Antonio is particularly interesting as a location for a large international K-pop event. The city has a substantial tourism industry and access to a large population across Texas and the surrounding region. By hosting the festival at the Alamodome, organizers can accommodate a much larger audience than would typically be possible at a smaller concert venue.

For local fans, the festival could provide an opportunity to experience multiple artists and activities during a single trip. For visitors coming from other states or countries, the event could also become a destination experience combining K-pop entertainment with a visit to San Antonio.

KPOPWORLD's format also highlights an important change in the global K-pop industry. The international K-pop audience is no longer simply consuming music from South Korea. Fans are actively participating in the culture through dance, fashion, collecting, social media and community events. International dance teams, in particular, have become an important part of the global K-pop phenomenon.

With its combination of concerts, international competition, shopping and fan activities, KPOPWORLD is positioned to be more than a conventional K-pop concert. If attendance meets expectations, the festival could also demonstrate the potential for large-scale K-pop events in emerging U.S. markets.

KPOPWORLD Festival & Worldwide Dance Competition is scheduled to take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, from October 28 to October 31, 2026. Fans interested in attending should check the official event and ticketing platforms for the latest information regarding performers, schedules, ticket availability and event policies.

For K-pop fans across Texas, the United States and beyond, San Antonio could become an important destination on the K-pop calendar in October 2026.
