SEVENTEEN has unveiled a new sub-unit featuring member S.Coups and Mingyu, marking the group’s fourth official sub-unit.

This duo is happening as part of SEVENTEEN’s 10^th anniversary project “Rebirth Project” aiming to showcase fresh musical collaborations and maintain group activities during other member’s military service absences.

They made the announcement on July, 11^th via Korean media and their official channels, though detail about a physical album or music video remain disclosed fans are excited and scared at the same time making speculations on the new unit and joking whether if there are the next members to join the military.

S.Coups, as the group’s leader and head of the hip-hop team, join forces with his fellow team member Mingyu. This pairing is notable as it is the first sub-unit composed solely of hip-hop team members, differing from previous units that mixed members from various teams.

This formation coincides with the upcoming military enlistment of members Hoshi and Woozi in September, fans expressed excitement over this new collaboration, anticipating the unique musical taste that S.Coups and Mingyu will bring to the stage.

CARAT’s expect Mingyu and S.Coups to craft hard- hitting hip-hop tracks leaning into their raping strengths, there are no official names yet but high expectations point to something impactful.
