BLACKPINK: THE GAME

[Kpop Planet News] "BLACKPINK The Game" OST Tops iTunes In 30 Regions Globally

BLINKs, your girls have dominated the global music chart once again!

On September 5, BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment announced that "THE GIRLS," the OST of BLACKPINK's mobile game "BLACKPINK: THE GAME," has topped iTunes Top Song charts in more than 30 regions worldwide since its release last month.

This result is truly impressive, considering the fact that the members have never promoted nor performed the song officially. YG stated that this is a solid prove of  BLACKPINK's strong presence in the mainstream pop music market.

Back in May 4 this year, BLACKPINK launched a mobile game "BLACKPINK: THE GAME" with TakeOne Company, where players would become BLACKPINK's producers by immersing themselves into the multiverse world.

Not only does the game offer different modes such as training and management simulations, it also allows players to create and customize their own BLACKPINK avatar while interacting with users across the world, making it a cutting-edge and highly interactive game.

The game also features an OST titled "THE GIRLS", which was first revealed within the game on August 23. The song was then officially released to the public two days later, along with an animated music video. The video has currently recorded over 230 million views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is holding their world tour “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK],” which the girls have met more than 1.7 million fans from over 20 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.

BLACKPINK are going to present the grand finale of the tour on September 16 and 17 at Gocheok Dome in Seoul. This is going to be the first time for a K-pop girl group to perform there.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK, and let's wish the girls success in the coming concerts!
