[Kpop Planet News] SEVENTEEN "FOLLOW THE CITY" Project Achieves Record-Breaking Success

SEVENTEEN has concluded their "FOLLOW THE CITY" project in Japan with record-breaking success!

On December 20, HYBE announced that over 78,000 people took part in the "Digital Stamp Rally" event of SEVENTEEN's "FOLLOW THE CITY" project. The event took place from November 18 to December 18 in five Japanese cities where the group's "FOLLOW" dome tour was being held.

The number increased by three times compared to the same event last year when SEVENTEEN held the "Be The Sun" dome tour concert also in Japan, which recorded 28,000 participants. The average daily attendance also increased by about 40%, from 1,800 to 2,500 participants.

HYBE interpreted this growth as a result of expanding the event from three to five cities and increasing the number of event spaces from 46 to 70, providing more activities for fans to enjoy.

Fans can collect "Digital Stamps" when they visit "FOLLOW THE CITY" event in person, and they can redeem a SEVENTEEN photocard with every three digital stamps. More than 160,000 photocards were distributed throughout the one-month event, setting a new record for the largest single photocard distribution event in history.

Apart from interactive activities such as collecting stamps and photocards, the project also featured major public transportation such as Japan Star Flyer and Meitetsu Seto Line and landmarks including the Osaka Wheel and Midland Square's Mirai Tower decorated with SEVENTEEN's images. SEVENTEEN photo exhibitions were also being held in Tokyo, Saitama, Nagoya, and Osaka, which all together attracted over 31,000 fans.

"THE CITY" is an urban concert playground project founded by HYBE. It aims to transform the entire city where the label's groups perform into a “concert play park,” offering a wide range of entertainment for fans to enjoy and connect with each other.

"FOLLOW THE CITY" project has move to Bangkok from December 16 in support of SEVENTEEN's Bangkok concert on December 23 and 24. The event will last until February 16, 2024.

Congratulations to SEVENTEEN for the huge success of their "FOLLOW THE CITY" project in Japan, and let's wish them all the best for their concert in Bangkok this coming weekend!
